It’s my way of celebrating Xmas and it’s easier than sending out Christmas cards.

The Rob Hopcott Christmas Story for 2007 is called ‘The Ultimate Christmas Kiss Confession’.

It started off being a flash fiction or very short story but rather grew all of it’s own accord.

My new writing tends to be posted to my blog sites because they easily allow interaction and I’d love to hear from any of my old friends.

This story has a story behind it. As the number of sites I have grows, it seems I have less and less time to do writing. All my time seems to be spent looking after technical issues with the various Wordpress and Blogger blogs.

In particular, I’ve been somewhat unsuccessful in getting Wordpress ported to my laptop so I can achieve my dream of being an ‘author in a campervan in rural lanes’.

Hence, I’ve sought out and found a new web log that seems to work offline just as well as online and it’s called Thingamablog.

Animated Friends is the first story I’ve written using this new weblog software and it seems to work ok, although people will have to post comments to connected Wordpress or Blogger blogs as this feature is not available in Thingamablog because it produces static pages offline which are then uploaded when I get back to the ranch (er spare bedroom).

Hopefully, the new blogging software will enable me to focus much more on producing lots of great stories - or at least having the time to have a try.

Halloween is nearly upon us and people’s thoughts will be turning to things strange and unexplained. Here is my contribution to the world of strange, wierd, ghostly and unexpected. I hope you like it.

The story is nice eery Halloween story set in the West of England countryside in an old inn between the hills and by a dark river. It involves lost souls and tickled trout :-)
